ERT Event Simulation
OVERVIEW
The Australian Standard AS 3745-2010 Planning for emergencies in facilities states “Where a specialist emergency response team is required, skills training shall be conducted at intervals not greater than 12 months.”
The purpose of conducting an emergency response team (ERT) event simulation is to assist those personnel to know their roles and responsibilities in an emergency situation in accordance with the workplace plans and procedures, and to test the workforce response to a high-risk emergency.
We assist organisations with the event simulation/exercise, followed by a de-brief with the ERT, wardens, chief wardens and first aiders to determine potential improvements.
The duration of the exercise depends on the size and complexity of the venue (i.e. building configuration, occupancy and size).
